To send an international fax from your phone, open ClearFax, pick the destination country, enter the fax number, and send. The price depends on the number of pages, not on the country, and you see it before you pay. No subscription, no account, no fax machine.
Steps
- Scan pages with the camera, or import PDFs and images from Files.
- Reorder or remove pages.
- Pick the country, then enter the fax number. ClearFax checks the number before you pay.
- Check the pages and the price, then send.
- Follow the fax network's status as it sends.
- When it goes through, a receipt PDF lands in your history.
Dialing format basics
- An international number is a country code plus the national number.
- Written in full, it starts with a plus sign: +44 for the UK, +49 for Germany, +81 for Japan.
- Many countries put a leading 0 in front of numbers dialed at home. That 0 is dropped after the country code.
- Example: a London number written 020 7946 0018 at home is +44 20 7946 0018 from abroad.
- From a regular phone you'd add an exit code first, like 011 from the US. In ClearFax you don't.

- A successful send means the fax network reported the transmission complete, not that a person read or accepted it.
- If the fax network reports a failed or partial send, your purchase is not used up.
- Every purchase includes at least two attempts. The app shows the exact number before you pay.
Questions
Does an international fax cost more?
Not with ClearFax. The price depends on the number of pages, not on the destination country. You see the price before you pay.
Do I need to dial 011 or 00 first?
No. In ClearFax you pick the country, which sets the country code, then enter the rest of the number. ClearFax checks the number before you pay.
Which countries can ClearFax send to?
The US, Canada and supported countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Oceania, listed on this page. ClearFax can't send to some number ranges within these countries. The app tells you before you pay.
Will an office abroad take my fax?
Whether an office accepts a faxed document is up to that office. A successful send means the fax network reported the transmission complete, not that a person read or accepted it.
